OUR OBJECTIVES

Since 1968, in only 40 years, our western world has changed drastically and not for the better from a civic point of view.

Our western society moved from a normal DemoCracy to an ugly symbiosis of BulloCracy and PlutoCracy. What we need to fight for now, to correct this situation, is an immediate collective effort for the growing implementation of a real MeritoCracy that shall lead us to a more civically pleasant CivicoCracy in due time. In fact, the negative word "BulloCracy" and in particular its positive equivalent "CivicoCracy" are new opposite terms being coined here. CivicoCracy represents the name of the better civic environment and society we will try to help progressively take place as soon as possible. This will be pursued as an ideal through this corresponding CivicArium Website and CivicArium ThinkTank.

We will propose soft, but powerful, means to achieve this objective.

They will be mainly Meritorious Behavior, Good Manners and Positive Holographic Thinking (MGP). These are simple and soft means, but nevertheless very powerful. If spread widely, they can lead to a vastly improved civic environment and to personal and collective Holistic Civic Wellness (HCW), let alone a growing MeritoCracy in the medium term and to a real and new CivicoCracy in the longer term.

In a nutshell

We will pursue the spreading of MGP and HCW values within a growing MeritoCracy in order to help us move to a new CivicoCracy as soon as possible. If you are interested in participating to this effort, please join this free membership CivicArium website and invite your friends to also do the same.

INTRODUCTION

Ideally, merit should be the only cause and measure of all wealth and success.

Meritorious effort should be implemented through conduct based on a personal Discipline of Good manners and Fairness. The force driving this Discipline in the background should be the Positive Holographic Thinking element of MGP. The end result should be a healthier life, physically, psychologically, emotionally and socially, leading to personal and collective Holistic Civic Wellness and to the phasing in of a new MeritoCracy and CivicoCracy. We will also promote the complementary values of these main concepts, and fight against the opposite negative factors that could prevent the realization of MGP, HCW, medium term MeritoCracy and long term CivicoCracy.

THREE BASIC CONCEPTS

Let's review our main MGP concepts.

1) - Meritocracy

The so-called 1968 revolution has failed.

We went from a normal DemoCracy to an ugly symbiosis of BulloCracy and PlutoCracy where very few increased their wellbeing and, most of the time, not for the good reasons, let alone Merit. To be a leader or a successful person now means basically being a climbing bully with Merit being practically irrelevant.

Fair competition is missing.

A society where no one is educated to compete fairly and enthusiastically for better results, nor be blamed, even constructively, for any bad or negligent conduct by any legitimate authority, be it at home, at school or at work, has led, 40 years later, to a seriously deteriorated civic environment that needs to be corrected by all interested MGP citizens.

Since 1968, our society has been dominated very negatively by Relativism and Nihilism.

This means a civic environment where there is no difference between good and bad, true and false, nice and ugly; there is no hierarchy of values; everything is easily permitted without responsibility; authority seems to exist more to tolerate and excuse bad conduct than to implement and enforce basic justice for its victims. This ugly evolution has not been a "revolution" but only a "destruction". The pre-1968 values may not have been the best ones. Values should always be open to democratic discussion and review, but having neither values nor a hierarchy of values, as is generally now the case, is not a valid option. MeritoCracy can change all that with the help of MGP and HCW.

Manliness and Femininity have become rare attributes.

Since 1968, it has become more and more difficult to disginguish a man from a woman, a boy from a girl, a male from a female, a gentleman from a lady. It is not only the dress. It is the dress, the talk, the walk, the sit, the hair, the laugh, the manners, the behavior, everything. When moving through a crowd, the difference has all but disappeared, especially in an environment of young people. To be liberated, women should not have to loose their Femininity and behave in a manly way. In front of well accepted liberated women, men should not have to abdicate their Manliness, let alone their Virility. The Difference is a Beautiful Difference, stemming from beautiful nature, that we, men or women, should all be proud of. This Beautiful Difference does not have to interfere at all with equality of rights. From a success point of view, only Merit should make the difference and both Manliness and Femininity should get back to be beautiful natural attributes to be proud of and to enjoy within the framework of a well functioning MeritoCracy.   

Widespread bullying and sloppiness have furtively moved in.  

These rampaging defects have unduly replaced what used to be a pleasant combination of Good manners, Respect, Neatness and Discipline. Concepts of fair authority, constructive punishment, appropriate recognition for good conduct and reward for enthusiastic competition should be re-established in all spheres of educational, professional and social activity. On the one hand, Merit should definitely be the main cause and measure of all success and wealth. On the other hand, the formation of a new Meritorious Elite, based on talent and effort, to lead the various sectors of our society, should return to be considered something to be proud of, and not, anymore, considered the product of a bigot mentality like it has been "wrongly politically correct" since 1968.

Fair competition in all sectors of human activity should be managed joyfully and loyally, like levels of teams of a national sport.

In sports, the best players go to the top, to play at the national level. All the others find their just position or niche, at their own local or regional level, as fans of the better ones above them, and as the friendly coaches and helpers of the ones below them: they do it joyfully and without any sense of unfairness. The Discipline involved is admired by everybody. This same sportive approach should be the founding spirit of MeritoCracy and the teaching and learning of the necessary Discipline should be a right that all children should claim, directly or through their parents, and be grateful for at an adult age.

The central figures of Mother, Father and Teacher should be redefined like valid forms of Autoritas.

These important figures should be respected in the same manner that a sports trainer or coach is respected and obeyed even when using a firm hand and strong Discipline for obtaining the best results out of every player. In particular, today's children show clear signs of an unconscious nostalgia of the figure of a strong, but leading and protective, Father, at home, and at school as an educator, or on the street as a policeman, that has vanished nearly completely in the background over the last 40 years. In this respect, today's children general bullying and confused anarchy are only a clear unconscious cry for help that we should respond to.  

The weakest should be recuperated in the process.

Of course, the weakest or incapacitated elements of the various "teams" should be gracefully and efficiently recuperated or assisted by all MGP citizens or HCW institutions around them in the process of implementing this growing MeritoCracy. For this purpose, social recuperation experts should be formed through probably a new university discipline intended to assist the weakest to proudly grow as much as possible, or quickly recuperate, to be put back on tracks at an appropriate level, without holding back or preventing the strongest and most talented and meritorious ones to achieve their best performance in the meantime. Just like in sports.

Every child should be guaranteed an equal chance at the starting line.

Out of the starting gates, everyone should be given the same equal opportunity. This can be done mainly through free competitive education up to, and including, full university level, for as long as one succeeds. By the same token, the fake ideal or pretension of equality of final results for everyone, as has been factiously, and factitiously, promoted by the 1968 revolution, is neither possible nor in particular advisable as it leads to a general downgrading of standards and a sloppy, and most unfair, leveling down, from the bottom, instead of from the top, whereby all playmates are losers, at one degree or another, and where society misses its chance to admirer, enjoy and take full advantage of its best players as leaders at the national level. It is in this sportive and positive spirit that this CivicArium website will promote progressive Holistic Civic Wellness in the short term,  Meritocracy in the medium term and CivicoCracy in the long term, by all means available.

2) - Good Manners

Good manners and Good conduct should get back to be important values and ideals of our blue civic environment.

They should be the best expression of all wealth and success acquired through Merit. Anybody, poor or rich, can be well mannered, behaved, clean, neat and well dressed. Politeness should be a major objective of everyone in all social interaction. Respect for all others should be the dominant factor in all human behavior. Education should proactively promote Neatness and Good manners, instead of silently tolerate sloppiness, let alone encourage it, as is mostly the case at the moment. Rampaging mobbing and bullying should all but disappear, as rare inevitable incidents, instead of being softly excused, unfairly forgiven for the victims, and shamefully forgotten without appropriate counter-action. 

The use force can still be legitimate, but only if used in a neutralizing way as and when necessary.

The use of force, by legitimate authorities, should still be allowed, albeit used with no unnecessary harm, that is, used in the judo philosophical sense of only neutralizing dangerous aggressiveness, concerting positive solutions and, if necessary, imposing constructive punishment. Again here, the Sports connotation is very relevant. The basic concept here is "Neutralizing", not harming or punishing.

Within these parameters everyone should live a happy life.

Within these HCW and MGP parameters, in the process of implementing a true MeritoCracy, one should live free of any constraint or sense of shame or guilt, in any area of their social and personal life, including the most personal sexual sphere, and gratefully enjoy their respective wealth, success, pleasure and wellness on the basis of each their own recognized talent, effort and Merit.  

3) - Positive Holographic Thinking

Positive Holographic Thinking is a widely unknown force of incredible power that should be actively promoted.

It can nurture personal Enlightenment and collective Oneness which are also powerful concepts only too slowly emerging in the Auric Time Scale of our new Light Millennium. The use and propagation of this force and related concepts, on the part of the growing MGP and HCV community associated to this CivicArium website, can be very powerful and should become one of the main means for achieving the above objectives. There is a magnificent literature on this subject that we will promote the best way we can on this CivicArium website, in order to help each individual create for themselves the best MGP life possible and to improve their general Holistic Civic Wellness or HCW. COMPLEMENTARY VALUES

Merit is the motor, while its complementary values form the body, of the elegant vehicle taking us to our final destination.

This CivicArium website is conceived and being developed as a Membership website for interested persons through free subscription. MGP and HCW, propagated in a growing MeritoCracy, are, and will, be our main objectives, but we will eventually also promote complementary values of related importance, such as Beauty, Elegance, Joy, Harmony, Love, Enlightenment and Oneness. Inevitably we will also deal with sectors of vital importance to Holistic Civic Wellness, like Education, Family life, Work environments and Religion.

> Traditional Family

The Traditional family, authoritarian and closely united, does not exist anymore.

While we will not attempt to return to the past, we will certainly promote initiatives intended to reinforce the vital role of a traditional, and united, family, at least while raising minor children. This may include things like promoting and lobbying for clearly preferential taxation rights for united families raising minor children and basic financial independence for all mothers staying at home to help better raise minor children.

> Traditional Education

Traditional Education, authoritarian and elite, does not exist either anymore.

Again, while not attempting to return to the past, more modern forms of respect for legitimate authority and encouragement for fair MGP competition should certainly be reinstated as much as possible. Meritorious Education should not only instruct, but also educate and, with the best of both components, form a Natural Meritorious Elite, just like in sports.

In sports, nobody is against an elite system.

In sports, each player reaches his fair place or moves gradually to the top to play at the national level, on the basis of their specific talent, effort and merit. The same basic principle and sportive approach should apply to all other human activities through a better educational system and renovated civic behavior values.

> Traditional Western Religion

Traditional western religion, mostly of various flavors of Christian affiliation, is also disappearing.

It is not however disappearing because of lack of fundamental relevance or importance. It is not Religion, but rather institutional religion, or church organization, that has been the cause of so many historical evils, like destructive crusades, witch-hunts, horrible inquisition and an infinite number of wars and terrorist attacks fomented supposedly by religion.

In the western world, it is not Religion but again institutional religion that has also completely misinterpreted and falsified the beautiful original Christian message.

In that message, there is no contradiction between wealth and God, author of all richness, nor between sexual pleasure and faith in a God who created a beautiful nature that seems to be completely impregnated with constant Love, eroticism and divine orgasmic pleasure, wherever we look at: a plant, a fish, a bird, an animal or a human being. Seeing wealth and sex generally as shameful or sinful is totally wrong. Holding that view is itself the sin and the shame. Like for all good things, only their abuse, or misuse, is wrong. Institutional religion has failed to carry and convey the original message of Jesus and, even if you do not believe in Christ as God, his important historical and human figure is culturally precious in the context of the undeniably Christian values founding our Western Civilization.

This is particularly true at this time, when we are more and more confronted with the conflicting beliefs of other religions. 

These other religions often seem to be in flagrant contradiction with the basic "Christian" values founding our Western Civilization. From this point of view, having more real "Christians" in our environment, believers or not, can only contribute highly to a better HCW or Holistic Civic Wellness.
